Job Description

SUMMARY OF JOB: The Director of Total Rewards reports to the Chief People Officer and is a key member of the Cor Partners HR leadership team. This critical position will lead the development of a total compensation philosophy and framework, encompassing base compensation, variable compensation and benefits. In addition, this role will develop a total rewards strategy that helps the company advance its strategic business priorities and will ensure alignment of total rewards and benefits with business strategy, operational goals and our culture.

• Provides thought leadership in the design and ongoing assessment of total rewards to ensure they are current with marketplace practices and are meeting the needs of the business, as well as candidates and employees at different stages of life
• Collaborates with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition and business leaders to understand the application of total rewards across the business and to design unique offerings as needed to solve business problems
• Develops a total rewards communications strategy to help employees understand the real value of the investments made by the company and directs change management initiatives relating to benefits and compensation across the enterprise
• Counsels and advises management on executive and broad-based compensation, benefits and wellness matters
• Responsible for all policies and processes associated with the administration of compensation programs
• Develops and administers the company’s compensation programs, bringing rigor and structure to the job evaluation process and analysis of pay practices
• Develops, directs and maintains the company's wage and salary administration, researches and maintains competitive salary ranges for all positions and directs participation in compensation surveys on behalf of the company
• Partners with HRIS and IT on benefits and compensation technology needs. Serves as primary point of contact for reporting, data/analytics, and interfaces.
• Develops and manage enterprise-wide wellness program. Monitor and evaluate industry trends and make recommendations to CHRO.
• Prepares annual government filings and tax or fee payments in compliance with existing and developing regulations including ERISA, the IRS, and the ACA. Ensure required plan documentation is maintained and distributed to participants as required.
• Evaluates and manages third party vendors responsible for providing data or services used in the management and administration of compensation and benefit programs ensuring that contract obligations are met, programs are administered in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, and value is generated by the services provided.
• Partners with corporate Finance on financial performance of benefit plans. Develop dashboard reporting for executive leadership team.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in business, human resources, or related field or  equivalent work experience
• Minimum 8 years' progressive compensation experience along with 5 or more years’ progressive benefits experience
• Minimum 3 years in a leadership capacity within a compensation and/or benefits function.
• Experience developing a total rewards strategy and proven experience developing total rewards solutions to meet varying business needs, including designing short-term and long-term incentive programs
• Experience working with and presenting to senior management
• Strong technical ability in Microsoft Excel and with software applications including the development of configurable tables, custom reporting, user security management, interfaces, and ftp transfer.
• Demonstrated business acumen and ability to impact/influence across all levels of the organization, along with excellent critical thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with individuals at all levels both internally and externally.
• Ability to successfully manage complex projects and cultural change that accompanies new programs, processes, or policies.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, customer service, problem-solving skills; teamwork, compassion, and respect toward others in keeping with Our Foundation, as well as integrity, accountability and adherence to standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct, open and honest communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development


• CBP or CCP and CEBS, or equivalent compensation and benefits certifications
• Experience with executive compensation
• Experience with development of a corporate wellness program
• Previous experience with Workday
• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development for self and team members

Work is generally performed in a typical office environment, with limited exposure to harsh weather conditions, loud internal or external noise, fumes, or significant temperature changes 

Work can involve lifting and carrying up to 10 - 20 lbs.; frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and reaching; occasional kneeling and stooping; operating office equipment; periodic driving likely; visual acuity to prepare, read, and organize detailed hard copy and electronic documents; ability to speak and to hear the spoken word in normal face-to-face, telephonic, and web-based business communications. Willingness to travel in a work capacity, including occasional evening and weekend hours. Willingness to accommodate occasional meetings and work activities that may be scheduled after normal daytime business hours.
