The Director of IT is responsible for developing and implementing the IT strategy to support the company’s strategic vision and business goals. The incumbent will focus on leading the day-to-day operations of the IT department, with an emphasis on hands-on experience in application, infrastructure enhancement and service delivery activities. Communication and collaboration with the executive leadership team, clients, and the IT department are critical to success in the role.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Must have a strong experience in DevOps and application development in Microsoft technologies and Azure cloud

• Collaborate with the executive leadership team to develop the IT vision and strategy to ensure it is aligned with the business strategy, innovation and supports business goals.

• Collaborate with business leaders to lead the path to Innovation and develop plans for introduction of new technologies.

• Participate actively in project and initiative review, planning and execution, including individual business projects, plan validation and alignment with strategic enterprise goals and priorities; manages infrastructure projects and application initiatives that require collaboration for a unified deliverable across companies.

• Lead and manage IT employees and carry out the human resources management function associated with this supervision, including effective selection, orientation, training, assignment, performance management, recognition and counseling.

• Collaborate with the other teams and organizations within Cor Companies coordinate software development activities within IT and ensure there are appropriate resources and supports for the development team.

• Partner with the CEO, CTO and Finance in developing and monitoring the IT budget.

• Oversee the project management function and delivery of the project objectives

• Analyze complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommend technical solutions; produce timelines for application and other solution releases, monitor and report progress to designated stakeholders, and manage the work of subordinate personnel to meet or exceed customer expectations. Oversee the review of designs, codes through test plans where applicable.

• Design, establish, and maintain a cloud and hosting infrastructure to support the scalability and reliability requirements of the company’s applications


• Identify advancements in technology that will assist the company gain competitive advantage
• Oversee technology infrastructure platforms including hardware, software, security, data centers, cloud environments, communication systems and network resources all with configuration parameters.

• Assure the accessibility and support of all hardware, software and network resources and application components to achieve business goals.

• Administer standards for infrastructure use, authentication, security, redundancies, resilience, and partnering vendor components.

• Participate in all hardware and software evaluations and related vendor selection.

• Assure compliance with IT audit standards, terms of contractual agreements, and vendor performance and access authorization.

• Maintain cross business relationships with operational and IT resources through regular communication and need based appointments.

• Maintain corporate agreements and licenses, including but not necessarily limited to Microsoft, and manage the associated cost allocations.

• Support all application initiatives in coordination with the business applications architect with sustainable, secure infrastructure and cloud environment platform.

• Oversee all technology-based communication system and data transmission, including but not necessarily limited to VOIP and ISP’s.

• Develop and conduct effective staff training on use of new hardware solutions; serve as a liaison among users, operations and network engineering personnel in areas of system design, modification and trouble-shooting.

Job Requirements



Qualifications 

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or related experience; minimum of eight (8) years’ experience within Information Technology, including progressively responsible managerial and leadership level duties.
  • Strong customer service orientation and customer service skills.
  • Working experience in project management areas with Agile methodology and Scrum practices. PMP preferred.
  • Experience in workflow management and process automation, Mobile and Web application development
  • Strong expertise in Digital transformation programs. Broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts, and methodologies.
  • Strong experience with cloud architecture and deployment
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal with strong presentation skills
  • Strong experience working with strategic partners and vendors
  • Strong knowledge base and demonstrated expertise in infrastructure and design and execution.
  • Skills in strategic planning and execution, including the ability to align IT goals with those of the business.
  • Experience in implementing effective and innovative software development methodologies
  • Operations experience in a production environment.
  • Proven ability to lead a progressive IT group.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Sound writing and speaking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and motivate professional staff.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.
  • Business acumen, including ability to apply fundamental budget planning and management and human resources management.
