We currently have an outstanding career opportunity for a Senior Accountant.  The Senior Accountant carries out a broad scope of professional-level accounting duties requiring a sophisticated level of knowledge and skill typically characterized by advanced study and training. The incumbent interacts regularly with the Controller and Chief Financial Officer as well as other members of the Finance and Accounting Department in assuring the organization’s financial integrity and best interest, exercising discretion and judgment in actions, recommendations, and decisions.



Responsibilities:

  • Actively participates in the implementation of the new ERP system, including file conversion, integration testing, data integrity testing.
  • Assists the Controller in producing accurate and timely financial
  • Assists in the month end closing including variance analysis and accounts reconciliation.
  • Assists or leads the Annual Financial Audit and 401(k). Prepare audit schedules and support for footnote disclosures.
  • Assists in the annual budgeting process. Provide actual data and GL accounts for FP&A as needed.
  • Analyzes and interprets financial data and recommends changes to improve systems and financial performance. Research and recommend effective policies and procedures that represent best industry practice.
  • Develops/test internal controls to ensure data integrity and compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

Job Requirements



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting
  • 3-5 years of Accounting experience. A mix of experience between public accounting and private corporate accounting functions is preferred.
  • CPA license, required
  • LEAN / Six Sigma, a plus
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to effectively / independently manage multiple requests with attention to detail
  • Technology savvy (not afraid to implement new technology). Advanced skills with Excel, required.
  • Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems.
