We currently have an outstanding career opportunity for a Senior HR Business Partner.  The HR Business Partner is focused on enabling a strong corporate culture by providing appropriate tools and resources for both employees and leaders within the organization.  The HR Business Partner is responsible for understanding the company’s overall business strategy and culture, the services that benefit internal customers, and the stewardship of the organization’s human and financial resources. The role is influential in setting and administering policy that impacts onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation and talent management. 

 

  • Participates in promoting a positive work culture and environment, serving as an advisor to managers and employees. 
  • Serves as an expert on matters of policy clarification and interpretation, problem resolution, performance management, counseling and discipline and other aspects of employee relations.
  • Formulates partnerships across the business to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the objectives of the organization. Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Facilitates an effective on-boarding and organizational orientation process for new hires, establishing rapport and helping to integrate new employees.  Assures the orientation process helps set expectations and provides important information on company policies, procedures, and practices. 
  • Partners with managers regarding HR processes such as annual reviews; promotions and other job changes.  Travel to various locations throughout the U.S. to work with leaders and employees on important HR initiatives or to be onsite to provide guidance and counsel. 
  • Consults with managers on compensation decisions with regard to internal equity and market benchmark data.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • Minimum of seven years of HR experience managing complex employment issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of performance management, employee relations, policy administration, employment law and compensation.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • HR certification (HRCI or SHRM)
  • Strong business acumen and ability to solve complex issues
  • Intermediate skill with HR systems (HRIS) and MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint
